Rather than regretting your mistakes, remember that without making mistakes, you would not learn anything new. Therefore one of the advantages of growing older is that you grow wiser. So even growing old can be seen as something to be thankful for.
Remember all the times in your life when you avoided accidents or survived extreme events. If you had been in another place at the wrong time you may have been fatally wounded and would no longer be here.

The time and place that you live in can determine the opportunities and freedoms that are available to you.
